Why is Best Offer not working on my eBay listing?
Best Offer issues usually come from category rules, listing format, or a misunderstanding of how offers interact with quantity and variation listings. Sellers often expect Best Offer to be available everywhere, but eBay only enables it where the listing setup allows it.
The feature may be unavailable because the category does not support it, the listing format is not eligible, or the seller is using a listing type where Best Offer behaves differently. It can also seem broken when buyers' offers expire or are automatically limited by eBay's offer rules.
Check whether the listing is eligible, review the Best Offer help page, and confirm whether you are adding Best Offer, receiving buyer offers, or sending seller offers to watchers or interested buyers. Once you identify which step is failing, the official help flow becomes much clearer.
Do not use Best Offer to push buyers off eBay or to create private deals. eBay explicitly warns sellers not to use the feature as a shortcut around the platform's transaction rules.
